GDPR and churches?

If GDPR rules protect people’s data, name & gender, etc. And if churches are data handlers. What does that mean for christenings and marriages? Would infants be christened “undisclosed”? Would marriage be between Mx and Mx, not named????

Well, it makes me wonder!
