A Slow Sunday in March, 2026.

Extinction Rebellion, and Just End Oil with others.

Does it really make sense to scrap all gas, Oil boilers and supply. All the Oil shipping. All of the petrol and aviation fuelled vehicles

All being scrapped and  reprocessed into non-olefin consuming alternatives overnight?  The initial resource input would choke the atmosphere much quicker.

It doesn’t make sense, surely?

The USA and Iran conflict, of 2026, seems a bit of a challenge to Oil production and transportation.  We’re told it’s the Iranian belligerence and nuclear aims. I’m uncertain how that fits in the great scheme of things

But, it does feel a bit over repetition of fascists and communist clashes of the 1920s. Hitler and Mussolini demands, and reckless journey to the Second World War. My thoughts are that the old folk get us in the end

Do sociopaths wear the word sociopath, on their tee shirt?

Nature is four billion years ahead of mankind?

In the last four billion years, nature has had the opportunity to perform every chemical reaction imaginable. Whereas, scientists have tried some. Mostly over last 300 years.

What makes humanity think genetics can solve all?  A scientific discipline, less than a hundred years old.  They’re doing recombinant DNA stuff. Though it must occur.  You can’t uninvent the wheel.

But, CRISPR supposedly interprets DNA, in terms of protein sequencing. Science, I suggest, should favour this stance. Mathematical modelling with computers could interpret protein shapes, bonding sites, enzymic induction relevant functioning. The new pharmaceutical world?

No need to disturb the biological world. We can still be humans. We could cure more diseases than we would likely create.  Even if the science claims to be lucrative genetics-style????

There are elements of society after eternal youth, some genocide and randomised Armageddon.  We need to guard against those. Until, a time when the safety outweighs the dangers.

We can tell what a polypeptide will be, using theoretical genetics. Measured in the laboratory. We don’t need to jump in head first, with altering our DNA. We need to respect the god-power if this natural miracle.

Sorry to moan, groan and, mumble.

Chirality? Handedness!

See photos below.

Like our hands, tetrahedral molecules can be, non-superimposable mirror images. But, don’t forget three point attachments.

Relates, especially to protein shapes. So, enzyme-substrate, lock and key interactions.

Archaebacter doesn’t mind racemic mixed. But, Plant and Animal Kingdoms are fussy   it’s never a true mix of 50:50 amino acids. But, three-point attachment is important for amino acids functioning.

Personally, I think phenylalanine sweetener tastes nice. Well, a few of these Nobel laureates are tackling the issue. At least, it appears   All about Chemistry.

(I’m hiding under my bed, at the moment?)

Daffodils Will Be Flowering Soon!

It’s going to be good. Hopefully, a gorgeous Spring. A comfortable Summer. Autumn can be kind. Though, sometimes cruel.

Trips to your local landmarks, museums, parks and the like. The young ones would love it. Think back to my adolescence, and early adulthood.

I’ve poor mobility  I used to love walking. Around my hometown. Backpacking too  I enjoyed military reservist stuff.  You miss it when it’s gone.
