The BBC reports Dennis Waterman has died, aged 74.

He was famous in the successful television series, “The Sweeney”, and “Minder” in 1970’s and 1980’s. The Sweeney was a police drama about the Sweeney (Sweeney Todd rhyming slang for The Flying Squad) policemen with guns. That was unusual in UK in 1970’s. He starred with John Thaw. It was a bit aggressive for someone my age. In Minder, he played Terry McCann, a bodyguard for a spiv. Played by George Cole. They even had a spin-off music hit, “What Are We Gonna Get for Her Indoors”. A slightly more humorous series, compared to The Sweeney.

Well that was British Television (Independant Channels), back in the day!

I forgot to

I’m an ostrich, looking for sand!

I hope the bank and accounting software can carry me through end of year filings. I’m not nearly as capable or motivated as when in my twenties. So many scary regulations that I dare not tackle.. IR35, MTD, companies House. My head hurts. Still, it’s practice for the real world, only in the real world. I’ll try keeping my cool. But, 10 years, or more, without studying business. Even that, and accounts clerk work don’t really help.
